The library Project

Purity International Ministries is launching a library project in one of the communities in Kisii, Kenya. We are excited to partner with the local government and organizations to make this dream come true for the students and the community at large. The community is about 30 square miles with about 15 schools in the area. The schools in the area do not have any library and there isn’t any in the community as well.

Our goal is to get the community involved as much as possible because this is an investment to them as well as the schools in the area. Our target is to raise $ 250,000 toward this project and with the help of friends, family members and different organizations that are willing to join us on this project; we anticipate the completion of the building by August 2017.

This is a vision my dad had before he was brutally murdered over 20 years ago when he had just won a parliamentary seat in 1992. His vision was to set a standard in the community that the younger generation will be able to adapt and in the process improve their living standard and brighten their future. In a community well stricken with poverty and low education standard, having a community library is one of the ways in which we can brighten the future for the younger generations.

In following and honouring my dad’s legacy would you consider joining us in making this dream come true? This will improve the students’ success and give them the opportunity to prepare adequately for the future ahead of them. We look forward to changing one student at a time.
